Looking to regroup after a brutal start to the ‘18 / ‘19 campaign the Rockets, who hold the 12th spot in the Western Conference will face the Utah Jazz on Thursday attempting to bounce back off of their loss to Minnesota on Tuesday. The problem seemingly, for Houston is that they are a team that relies on the three point shot and this leads them to become the streakiest, most inconsistent team in the league to start the year. The Rockets roster carries many talented shooters including names like Harden who was last years MVP, Chris Paul, Eric Gordon, Gerald Green (etc.), the team launches the long ball at 34% on the year.
However, P.J. Tucker is the team leader in percentage at 40%. Tucker is also one of the more utilized players in the Rockets line up playing 35 minutes per game, second to only James Harden who plays 36. As Mike D’Antoni and the Rockets front office search for answers you have to believe that with the amount of fire power currently on this team, Houston will be able to figure out their situation and become a strong contender down the stretch this summer.
