RED SOX vs YANKEES BEST MLB BET BASEBALL TIP: August 05, 2018
UNDER 9 RUNS -110
While I do like the Boston Red Sox to finish off the sweep tonight the best play on this game is on the total. This pitching match up should be a treat to watch on Sunday night baseball. David Price starts for Boston and Masahiro Tanaka goes for New York. Both of these pitchers have put up solid numbers this season. Price is 11-6 with a 3.97 ERA while Tanaka is 9-2 with a 3.84 ERA. Both Price and Tanaka have been in very strong form. Tanaka is coming into this start having not allowed a run in his last 17 innings. Over the last 2 months he has only allowed 9 runs. We should expect another strong performance from him tonight. Price is also pitching incredible. He has only given up one run in his last 15.1 innings and is coming off of a very impressive home start against the Phillies. Both of these pitchers don’t give up many walks so they should be able to limit the amount of base runners we see. Other than game 1 of this Yankees Vs Bo Sox series where Steve Pearce went off for three home runs in a 15-7 Red Sox win it has been a low scoring series. Both game two and three of this series finished well under the 9 run total. The Red Sox took both games by the final score of 4-1. While these teams are both known for their ability to score runs they don’t give up much either. The Red Sox rank second in baseball only allowing 3.6 runs per game while the Yankees are tied for fifth allowing 4 per game. Expect this to be a similar game to games two and three of this series and finish below the 9 run total.
