MARLINS VS BRAVES PREDICTION: July 29, 2018
UNDER 9 RUNS -110
One of the worst offenses in baseball the Miami Marlins come into Atlanta to take on the Atlanta Braves. The Braves rank in the top 10 in runs allowed and have one of their best starters Julio Teheran on the mound tonight. While Teheran’s numbers don’t jump off the page at you he is better in front of his home crowd. He has a 4.13 ERA while holding his opponents to a very low .214 average at home. Where he has struggled this year is with his control. Facing a weak lineup like Miami should allow him to go right at and attack hitters. I believe control won’t be an issue tonight with this Marlins lineup. Wei Yen Chen starts for Miami tonight. His numbers look atrocious on the surface. He is just 3-7 with a 5.65 ERA. Chen is a very capable starter and has shown it as of late. He has registered 4 quality starts in his last 5 and in 3 of those he allowed 1 run or less. I believe he should be able to keep that momentum going tonight against a Braves team that had a ton of trouble scoring against the Dodgers this weekend only scratching across 8 runs over the 4 game series. All signs point to a competitive low scoring game in Atlanta. Back he under.
