CUBS vs ROCKIES MLB ANALYSIS
The Chicago Cubs will host the Colorado Rockies in tonight’s NL Wildcard game at Wrigley Field and the Cubs have a few huge advantages in tonight’s game. The Cubs got to stay at home after losing the NL Central clinching game while the Rockies have had to travel across the country from Los Angeles after dropping their NL West clinching game against the Dodgers. The Cubs also feature a lot more playoff experience as their roster still features a majority of the players that won the World Series two years ago. They also have the better pitcher on the mound. They will start Jon Lester who has flat out dominated in his last two home starts throwing 13 innings of shutout baseball while only giving up 5 hits. Kyle Freeland is a great pitcher in his own right but it is a big question mark how he will hold up in a game of this magnitude. The Cubs have been great in front of their home crowd this year going 51-31 at home. I don’t see them losing in front of their home crowd two days in a row especially in an elimination game. Back the Cubs to advance here.
